CIFF – I won!

Here – I spent hours waiting for the final results from FINDECOIN (didn’t win unfortunately), yet I was pleasantly surprised when an email from the Creation International Film Festival suddenly came through announcing that Polaroid had won Best Short Screenplay! I’m extremely honored and thrilled by the result – Polaroid means a great deal to me!

NY International Screenplay Awards

I did it: this morning I submitted Polaroid to the New York International Screenplay Awards in the Short Scripts category. For those of you who don’t know, the NY ISA are quite well-known within the screenwriting world – and after being shortlisted for two festivals with the same script, I thought I’d give it a shot.

Notification date is May 1st, 2018! Fingers crossed!

I have been shortlisted!

Last month I was delighted to find out that my short script Polaroid has been selected as part of the Official Selection for the Short.Sweet. Film Fest. taking place between March 2-4 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. As I am new to submitting my screenplays to film festivals, having my first submission shortlisted is very exciting!

This morning I also had the pleasure to discover that Polaroid has been selected for another festival, Findecoin (Independent International Short Film Festival “The Day is Short”) from Venezuela, set for February 23-25.

I am honored that my writing has been acknowledged alongside many other writers and filmmakers, and I cannot wait to find out how it all unfolds!
